2. Support the Tisho's
Lemsanya & Kristen are missionaries with TMS Global. Kristen has been serving with TMS Global in Tanzania since 2010; they have been serving as a couple since 2017. Lemsanya became director of the orphanage in August 2017. In addition to his director duties he is working towards making the orphanage more self sufficient. Kristen teaches Swahili literacy, math and cake baking classes and disciples the family caregivers. 3. Donate to our Sustainable Animal Farm or our fund to help families with medical costs
Raising cows and goats will have a huge impact on the orphanage. The cows & goats would be able to provide all of our daily milk needs. Surplus milk will be sold and the income used to care for the cows and goats. We are currently working to divide the pastures so that we can rotate where the animals graze. We hope to begin making yogurt, butter and possible cheese these year as well.
In 2022 we began raising funds to help our famiy caregivers with needed health care that is too expensive for their families. We would also like to be able to help the babies' families with needed treatment as well. Our current projects include raising funds for 2 hearing aids for one of our family caregivers, helping one of our baby's mothers to receive inpatient mental health services and helping a grandmother receive a diagnosis for the pain she's been experiencing off and on for the last 4 years.
